Volunteer Your Time and Skills

Our members rely on and benefit from many service providers and professionals on the Island. These individuals help them in large and small ways. Volunteers makes up an invaluable part of that support system helping seniors continue to contribute to the life and unique character of Martha's Vineyard.

If you have free time, please consider volunteering to help Vineyard Village at Home. Volunteers can help in many, many different ways. Whether it is occasional or regular, we can use your help and any skills you would like to offer. Here are some examples of needed volunteer skills:

• Drivers
• Handymen
• Tradesmen (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Painters, etc.)
• Driveway Plowing and Shoveling
• Landscaping, Gardening, Leaf Collection
• "Check-in" Visitors
• Pharmacy or Meal Delivery
• Occasional clerical work

Community Service Programs are Welcome!

We also encourage Island schools, organizations and churches that coordinate community service programs to contact us to discuss how helping our senior Island neighbors through Vineyard Village at Home can be a key part of your service program (such as high school honor society and church Confirmation community service requirements, etc.).
