Up-Island Council on Aging
The Up-Island Council on Aging (COA) and Senior Center is a branch of municipal
government of the Towns of West Tisbury, Chilmark and Aquinnah. We are charged
with assessing the needs of seniors and to offer programs and services to
meet their needs. We represent their interest and promote knowledge of elder
services and concerns. The COA is a resource for the entire community, providing
information and services on aging, and assisting families and friends who
care for older persons. For elders at risk of losing their self-sufficiency,
the COA is often the entry point to a variety of services that will help
them maintain their independence.
