Jill Hansen, a local financial consultant, will talk about the current state of the economy. She will discuss the existing safeguards, how to evaluate financial companies, and what you can do now. The audience is encouraged to ask questions following the presentation.

Vineyard Village at Home recently lowered membership rates from $900 individual/$1200 household to $750 and $1000 respectively.

Bess Child, a social work graduate student at Simmons College, has been chosen as our first summer intern. The internship is funded completely by the Martha's Vineyard Village Fellowship, an organization that supports individuals who are committed to the Island and the ideals of sustainability. The Fellowship is also providing $2000 to support a VVAH program.

The Vineyard Nurses Association (VNA) is offering a 10% discount on home health services (including private pay) to all year-round VVAH members.

Program Coordinator Jane Hawkes was recently interviewed on local public radio (WCAI/NAN) by Mindy Todd. She joined Kendall Bohr, Co-Executive Director of Neighborhood Falmouth,an organization launching in April of this year.
